First
Visit
We
are excited and anxious to visit with you and answer all
of your questions during your first visit with us. Your
initial appointment will consist of an examination and
a discussion of potential treatment options. This important
one hour visit will address the orthodontic needs of you
or your child and is complimentary (no charge). We have
found our patients appreciate having as much accomplished
as possible at the first visit.
There are several questions that all potential orthodontic
patients and parents want answers to. During the initial
examination for each patient, we will address each question
and provide clear and reasonable answers. Ample time is
always allowed for questions to be asked.
- Is
there a problem that orthodontics can address?
-
Is treatment needed now or is the timing such that
it should be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth
eruption, or other factors are reconciled?
-
What treatment procedures will be used to correct
the problem?
-
Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
-
How long will treatment take?
-
How much will it cost?
-
How will I pay for it?
Dr.
Alford also has examples of various orthodontic appliances
to visually show the patient how their treatment will
progress.
Please assist us by providing the following information
at the time of your first visit:
- Any
panoramic x-ray taken within the past 6 months.
-
If you have orthodontic benefits, bring your insurance
card. By providing this information at the first visit
we will be able to give you an estimate of your out-of-pocket
expense.
